When what really matters is destroying the Church, the fundamental thing is the instrumentalization of the victims of pedophilia.
Whether or not one wants to acknowledge pedophilia in the Church, in most cases it is homophilic.
EThis post was prompted by the unpleasant news of the arrest, and subsequent admission to a detox clinic, of the secretary of Cardinal Coccopalmerio when I was participating in a homosexual orgy and drug use in the Vatican.
Pedophilia, same-sex child abuse, abuse of adolescents, and priests who break their vows of celibacy are situations that occur within the Church. Some are extremely serious because they have involved innocent children who placed all their trust in a homophilic sexual predator, a pedophile who publicly presented himself as a representative of Christ.
Indeed, the fact that the majority of pedophilia cases in the Church (70%) occur between priests and children of the same sex has sparked considerable controversy, as pedophilia and homosexuality have been linked, I believe prematurely. (Although, increasingly, and considering how events have unfolded, I am less certain that there isn't a greater correlation between the two conditions.)
To understand the situation better, we must distinguish between pedophilia (feeling sexual attraction to minors) and pedophiliaPedophilia, in turn, can be homophilic (by minors of the same sex) or heterophilic (minors of the opposite sex). Some insist repeatedly that pedophilia (even claiming it's legitimate and therefore not penalized) is one thing, and pederasty (when sexual abuse or assault occurs) is another. While it's true that not all pedophiles abuse minors, it's equally true that all pederasts are pedophiles. Therefore, being a pedophile means having a paraphilia necessary for pederasty to occur.
In a previous post I address the topic of the relationship between pedophilia/pederasty and homosexuality, in which I try to demonstrate that, as of today, there is no evidence to support it.1
The relationship between homosexuality and pedophilia
I insist on this point because the Church is determined to establish this connection, relying on cases of pedophilia within its ranks. However, it can only be stated that 70% of abuse cases have occurred because HOMOPHILIC PEDERASTS. That is, by pedophiles and homosexuals, and 30% by heterophilic pederastsheterosexual pedophiles. In both cases, therefore, it has occurred because PEDOPHILES, That's not the same as being homosexual, although they can coexist in terms of sexual orientation. I could ask about the percentage of homosexual priests who are also pedophiles, and priests who are homosexual but not pedophiles.
Therefore, what we can say for sure is that the official sexual morality taught by the Church She is quite relaxed among many of those who have the obligation to set an example of her.
More progressive Catholics justify it by citing the existence of mandatory celibacy, while more traditionalists see it as an inevitable consequence of the Second Vatican Council. However, I believe the issue stems from deeper reasons. Since the 70s, a new view of sexuality has been permeating the social fabric and, therefore, the Church as well. While previously the emphasis was on the pairing of sexuality/love/pleasure, nowadays the focus is on sexuality/genitality/pleasure, intentionally conflating the word "love" with the genital expression of sexuality.
This has taken deep root through the instrumentalization of language: "making love", "free love", "free expression of love between same-sex couples, opposite-sex couples, pedophilia, bestiality, etc."
This new vision of love as an expression of genitality It has deeply permeated our society, leading to a complete loss of the value of authentic, responsible, and committed love and genuine sexuality. Moral, social, and political barriers have disappeared, preventing anyone from expressing their desires as they see fit, because any expression of it is deemed to have the same value.
This philosophy, this sexual revolution, this globalized strategy to eliminate any barrier to sexual expression has taken root within the Church because not living in absolute freedom, without moral constraints, doing whatever one desires, leads to the incomplete fulfillment of the human being. Those who defend these new theories say, "that there is no human fulfillment without spiritual and sexual fulfillment."
Unfortunately, it's not just that critical theory—W. Reich, Marcuse, etc.—has infiltrated the Church, but also agnosticism, materialism, relativism, and a pathologically narcissistic need to climb to the highest levels of power. While Pope Francis speaks of the poor, around him, very close to him, we find truly shameless individuals who are causing immense damage to his Church.
Zero tolerance, with compassion and mercy, but all these destroyers of a two-thousand-year-old church should be laicized or imprisoned. Wherever they belong!
- However, as queer culture becomes more prevalent, the relationship is becoming increasingly evident. [↩]
